Darren Mather

Darren joined Hawksmoor in June 2022 as a Compliance and Risk Monitoring Officer, working remotely in Blackpool. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), with a degree in Economics and Management Accounting from the University of Liverpool.

Darren entered the Financial Services industry in January 2000 with James Brearley & Sons based in Blackpool. After eight years as an equities dealer for their online platform, he moved to Hargreave Hale as an Investment Advisor, completing the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and focussing on Advisory private client business. In 2016, Darren switched the focus of his career, as a member of the Compliance Monitoring team at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, who had acquired Hargreave Hale.

Darren’s interests outside of work include both codes of rugby, football, music, and he is a regular team member at a local pub quiz. He enjoys travelling, especially to Australia where many of his family are now resident.
