Congratulations to Senior Fund Manager Richard Scott, for being nominated as a finalist in the ‘Best Multi Asset Alpha Manager’ category of the FE Trustnet Alpha Manager Awards 2018.
Charles Younes, research manager at FE commented: “The FE Alpha Manager awards recognise the very best talent in our industry – those who can combine consistent performance throughout their career with phenomenal outperformance over the past year.”
The finalists have been shortlisted from the 198 fund managers that were awarded an FE Alpha Manager Rating in the 2018 rebalance. These ratings recognise a manager’s ability to create risk-adjusted alpha, outperformance in both rising and falling markets, and those who consistently beat their sector peers.
Alpha Manager Richard was delighted to be a finalist, but was keen to acknowledge the team-based approach of his fellow Hawksmoor Fund Managers, that led to his nomination.
He said: “My nomination for this award is a welcome recognition of the strong results that the Hawksmoor Fund Management team have delivered for investors. It feels invidious to be singled out from what is a team approach at Hawksmoor, and is solely down to the fact that I am the oldest member of the team with a longer personal track-record going back to 2000 when Financial Express started tracking managers. However, even some of my track-record prior to Hawksmoor’s launch in 2009 reflects the benefit of working alongside Hawksmoor’s Head of Fund Management, Daniel Lockyer, at our previous firm, and I am confident that under his leadership we can continue to achieve good results for investors applying the process we have refined together.”
The Awards ceremony will be held at the Museum of London, on the evening of Thursday 17 May, 2018.
